Clean Water Changed Their Lives.
Before we ever talk about technology or testing, this is why the work matters.
Kids from the orphanage in Kampala, Uganda, thanking AquaChar after we built them a well, so they no longer had to walk 5 kilometers to a contaminated river for water.
Start a Project with AquaCharTurning Clean Water Into Action.
AquaChar's work has grown from aquaculture and aquarium applications into real-world water projects, filtration testing, and larger clean-water initiatives.
Coral Gables: The Next Step
We are working on a project to clean the canals throughout Coral Gables, in collaboration with the Mayor of Coral Gables. This connects our history of testing AquaChar with the larger clean-water mission we're pursuing today.

Where We've Been
Catfish Farms
Catfish hatchlings were dying because of iron in the water. AquaChar was used to create a filtration system for the farm, and after it was installed, the fish stopped dying.
CompletedOrphanage Well
Before this project, people at the orphanage had to walk approximately 5 kilometers to a contaminated river to get water. We built a well incorporating AquaChar so they could have a local source of clean water.
CompletedTurnbull River Estuary
AquaChar was tested in a contaminated river environment, with the goal of helping clean the water while collecting test results to understand its effect.
Testing CompleteLake Michigan Water Testing
We tested water before and after it passed through our AquaBot filtration concept. The AquaBot prototype was built in Chicago, and the testing showed the filtration concept worked.
Prototype TestedAquaBot V.1
The first AquaBot V.1 was built in Coral Gables for testing, with the goal of testing whether freshwater and seawater could come out cleaner after passing through the system.
Prototype TestedFrom Aquaculture to a Clean-Water Mission
AquaChar began by solving real water problems in controlled environments, and has gradually expanded toward larger waterway and clean-water applications.
Clean water is a human right.
Our projects are part of a larger effort to explore better ways to create cleaner, healthier water, from aquaculture and community wells to rivers, waterways, and developing filtration technology.
